Lighting
MultiLux LED
JUWEL’s MultiLux LED technology ensures uniform and brilliant
illumination of the RIO 290 LED. The interchangeable 895 mm LED tubes
DAY and NATURE create a natural light spectrum that enhances plant
growth while making fish colors appear more vibrant. At the same time,
the LED technology saves up to 50 % energy compared to traditional T5
lighting.
The MultiLux LED lighting system is designed for convenience, allowing
easy aquarium maintenance even when the lighting is switched on. The
ultrasonically welded light unit is completely waterproof and meets the
highest European safety standards. .
Filter System
Proven a million times over: Bioflow L
For optimal filtration, the RIO 290 LED is equipped with the
high-performance Bioflow L internal filter. This highly efficient
filtration system combines maximum performance with the highest level of
safety, making it the heart of every JUWEL aquarium. It follows the
principle: “The water should stay in the aquarium!” – the safest way to
filter an aquarium.
The Bioflow L comes with five high-performance filter media and is
powered by the quiet yet powerful Eccoflow 1000 circulation pump,
ensuring effective water circulation and reliable filtration.
Automatic-Heater AquaHeat PRO 300 W
The 300 Watt JUWEL adjustable heater, which is perfectly embedded in the
water circulation in the Bioflow M filter system, ensures the right
temperature in the RIO 290 LED.
Because it uses top-quality silver contacts and shock-proof borosilicate
glass, JUWEL adjustable heaters meet the highest standards in both
function and safety and, as you would expect, are TÜV/GS certified.

With
the matching base cabinet, your aquarium stands securely on solid
ground. Visually, the two are also the perfect duo – because the base
cabinet is available in the colors of the aquarium. The easy assembly
